Van Vi Luong (born in 2000), is a gymnastics athletes of the Vietnam National Team.
Celested with gymnastics from very small, effort, passion, and persistent perseverance help Van Vi Luong conquer the peak in national and international tournaments. From 2018 - 2024, he received 6 times the national gold medal; Receive certificates of merit from the Prime Minister in 2022 and 2023.
While at the peak of his career, Luong decided to choose to pursue the university lecture hall and currently a student of QH-2022-E TNTT, business administration for sports talents, University of Economics-Hanoi National University (UEB).
For many people, sports and business are two completely different roads. But with Van Vi Luong, these are two complementary pieces, the opportunity to expand the future.
"Sports have given me bravery, discipline and fighting spirit, but I believe that administrative knowledge will help me open a new door, not only in the career of athletes but also in longer plans for the Vietnamese sports community" - Luong said.
The journey to conquer the university lecture hall of Luong has never been easy and the balance between training - competition and learning is a challenge. When the schedule was dense, he focused his best to practice and tried to compensate for the study so as not to fall back after the empty time. Many days, he had to race with the time: morning training, afternoon to class, and at night, he was hard to review.

"There are times when I have serious injuries, the pain that makes me scared, each worried can return to the competition? Can I continue the path that I have spent even youth to pursue?" - Luong recalled.
How many are sprawling in the mind but "steel spirit" and the bravery of a national player helped the salary more firmly believe: "Youth is to make efforts, to dare to commit and do not miss any opportunity. No matter how hard, I still want to look back on the passing distance with pride, not regret because I did not try my best."
Fortunately, thanks to the support and companionship of UEB teachers, and the flexibility in the training program for business administration for sports talents and the school's study time for athletes, salary was able to arrange a reasonable learning schedule.
After the days of training and competition, Van Vi Luong became a dynamic UEB student, full of enthusiasm in the lessons. In the eyes of friends, teachers, Luong are not only talented gymnastics athletes with "sunny smiles" and the gold medals nationwide, but also the image of a resilient student, constantly striving to balance the dream of sports and conquer the path of education.
Sports and business can be completely parallel
Sharing the most memorable memories in the days of studying in UEB, Luong said, it was the first moment in front of the presentation class. As a athlete, he was too familiar with strong turning, accurate but nervous acrobatics when faced with the gaze of friends in the classroom.
"Thanks to the encouragement of the teachers, thanks to the encouragement from you, I gradually regain confidence. Each time the presentation then, I feel more comfortable and proactive. I realize that the confidence on the floor and in learning needs time to train" - Luong recounted.
The more you pursue the path of education, the more the salary realizes, the sport is not only medals but also managers, event organization, personal branding, developing related business models.
"When I studied business administration, I started to understand how to operate a business, how a sports brand can be built and developed. Things that I have never thought of before, now become an important part of future orientation. Sports and business can completely go hand in hand," Luong proudly said.

Regarding the future roadmap, conscience, it will continue to pursue a sports career, set a higher goal in the international arena. Along with that, it is constantly learning to equip yourself with business knowledge.
"I am considering studying to graduate school, especially in the field of sports management, to be able to contribute more to the athletes community and the country's sports background" - Luong shared.
