On June 1st, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) said that the first exam day of the 10th grade exam for the 2026-2027 school year was basically stable.
Accordingly, in the Literature exam this morning, there were 603/151.557 absent candidates, accounting for 0.39%. In the afternoon, the Foreign Language exam recorded 611 absent candidates, equivalent to 0.4%.

At some exam sites, cases related to candidates' health were recorded, some students were sick during the exam and had to go to the medical room for 5 to 10 minutes. Exam sites have made records of unusual incidents, however, candidates were not given additional exam time due to personal reasons.
At another exam site, a candidate used a hearing aid in the exam room but did not notify the exam council in advance. After making a record, the exam site still allowed the candidate to continue using the device and requested supplementation of the disability certificate dossier according to regulations.
Meanwhile, at the exam site of Kien Thiet Secondary School (Ban Co ward), a candidate was frequently unstable in the exam room, affecting the order of the exam room. The exam site made an unusual record and invited parents to work. Through verification, this candidate has intellectual problems but has not completed the procedures for issuing a certificate of disability.
Regarding the organization of the exam, in the afternoon, some exam sites discovered that the exam questions had lost letters on pages 2 and 3. Relevant exam sites were required to open backup questions and make a record of incidents according to regulations.
The first exam day also recorded 2 cases of violations of regulations. In which, in the morning, 1 candidate violated the exam regulations, and in the afternoon, 1 case was recorded for using materials in the exam room.
