This is the competency assessment exam with the largest number of candidates ever, held in 25 provinces and cities including:
Thua Thien Hue, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, An Giang, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Bac Lieu and Ca Mau.
The results will be announced on April 16, 2025.
From 2025, Ho Chi Minh City National University will only issue an electronic Certificate of Results, not a paper Certificate of Results.

This year's Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test consists of 120 questions. In which, the Logic - Data Analysis and problem Solving section is restructured into the Scientific Thinking section, with 30 multiple-choice questions. The questions are built in the direction of providing information, data, data, experimental planning, experimental results, thereby requiring candidates to demonstrate their ability to understand and apply information, determine experimental results, and predict laws.
The Language Use (Vietnamese and English) and Mathematics sections have increased the number of questions to 60 and 30 questions, respectively.
Candidates have a total test time of 150 minutes. The maximum score of the test is 1,200 points, each question has a different weight depending on the difficulty. In which, the Language Use section is 600 points; Mathematics is 300 points and Scientific Thinking is 300 points.
According to the previous announcement of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the results of this year's competency assessment test will be used by 100 universities and colleges to consider a part of the enrollment quota.
