On October 18, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of Dang Thai Mai High School (Quang Binh Commune, Thanh Hoa Province) said that immediately after the incident of two students fighting and stabbing each other, killing a 12th grade student, the school had sent a report to the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa Province.
"The incident happened outside the school, so immediately after receiving the information, the school and teachers were present to coordinate with the authorities to handle it. As for the specific cause of the incident, the school is not sure" - said a representative of Dang Thai Mai High School.
According to this representative, after the incident, the police summoned the students involved to verify and clarify. As for the two students who directly participated in the fight, they have not had any conflicts or fights with each other before; their academic performance is assessed as good and their behavior is good.
"After the incident, the school visited and encouraged the family of the deceased student. The scene is waiting for the conclusion of the police before taking further action" - a representative of Dang Thai Mai High School informed.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, at around 11:30 a.m. on October 17, at a gas station in Xa Thu village, Quang Binh commune, two students of Dang Thai Mai High School got into a fight.
During the fight, student P.T.B.N (16 years old, residing in Quang Binh commune, studying in class 11A9) used a knife to stab student L.Q.H (17 years old, residing in Luu Ve commune, studying in class 12A8).
L.Q.H was then taken to Quang Xuong General Hospital for emergency treatment by students and residents, but died.
The cause of the incident is currently being investigated and clarified by the police.
