Na Ri commune, Thai Nguyen province is one of the localities that suffered heavy damage from the recent flood with many damaged constructions and infrastructure such as schools, medical stations, and offices.
According to statistics from the People's Committee of Na Ri commune, Kim Lu Kindergarten was flooded in three buildings, all desks, chairs and learning equipment were damaged, a village cultural house was deeply flooded, and furniture inside was damaged. The Na Ri wholesale market project was flooded, causing damage to goods of about 180 business households.
Rising floodwaters and rapid flow caused Na Ri Ethnic Boarding School to be isolated, forcing teachers and students to move to a safe place.

Immediately after the flood receded, the Na Ri commune government, along with armed forces and local people, quickly took action to overcome the consequences of the flood. Urgent projects such as schools, health stations, and commune offices were urgently cleaned up to be able to resume operations as quickly as possible.
Mr. Nong Van Nguyen - Secretary of the Na Ri Commune Party Committee - said that restoring rural infrastructure is a top priority task, contributing to stabilizing the material and spiritual life of people after storms and floods.
"Almost a week after the flood, most of the infrastructure such as schools, cultural houses and markets in the commune have been cleaned up, ready to operate again, serving the people," Mr. Nguyen shared.
To focus on overcoming the consequences of floods as quickly as possible, departments and branches of Thai Nguyen province have mobilized dozens of vehicles to participate in cleaning up the environment and restoring infrastructure. In addition, many organizations and individuals also provide support for people and vehicles participating in this work.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thai Nguyen province, this unit has directed the Center for Agricultural and Environment Promotion to mobilize 86 trucks, 32 excavators, forces and equipment to collect, transport, and treat waste on village roads and alleys, minimizing congestion and pollution.
Meanwhile, the education and training sector of Thai Nguyen province also suffered heavy damage in the recent historic flood. Many schools were deeply flooded, desks, chairs and equipment were damaged, affecting teaching and learning.

Statistics show that the whole Thai Nguyen province has 180 units and educational institutions damaged, of which 167 are under the management of the People's Committee at the commune level and 13 units under the management of the Department of Education and Training. The estimated damage to facilities is more than 181.5 billion VND.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen province - said that the whole industry has mobilized tens of thousands of working days of cadres, teachers and parents, coordinated with functional forces to overcome the consequences, ensuring that schools in rural, mountainous and mountainous areas are ready to operate normally.
The Department of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen province also mobilized social resources, promptly supported textbooks, school supplies and repair funds, helping students to soon stabilize their studies without interrupting the school year program.
