On October 17, a representative of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Office said that they had requested the leaders of a vocational school in the area to urgently report the incident of a female student being assaulted in class, and at the same time coordinate with the authorities to verify and strictly handle it according to regulations.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 16, a clip of more than 2 minutes appeared on social media recording a scene of a male student wearing a black shirt continuously beating a female student in class.
Many other students stood around and could not stop but instead shouted, cheered, and even had insulted words. This clip of school violence quickly spread, causing public outrage.
According to initial information, the incident occurred at a vocational college in Truong Vinh ward (Nghe An), a unit under the direct management of the Provincial People's Committee.
Currently, the authorities are verifying and clarifying the incident.
