Many majors exceed 28 points
Hanoi National University of Education has announced the benchmark scores and list of candidates admitted to regular university training programs in 2026.
Accordingly, the benchmark scores for the school's training programs this year range from 19 to 29 points.
In the teacher training group, Mathematics Pedagogy (teaching Mathematics in English) has the highest benchmark score, reaching 29 points.
Second place is Chemistry Pedagogy with 28.99 points, followed by Mathematics Pedagogy 28.95 points and Physics Pedagogy 28.77 points.
Majors with benchmark scores from 28 points or higher also include Literature Pedagogy (28.71 points), History Pedagogy (28.61 points), Primary Education - English Pedagogy (28.42 points), Physics Pedagogy (Teaching Physics in English) (28.35 points), Biology Pedagogy (28.28 points), Geography Pedagogy (28.22 points) and Chemistry Pedagogy (Teaching Chemistry in English) with levels (28.22 points).
Some other pedagogical majors also have high benchmark scores such as History Pedagogy 28.61, English Pedagogy 27.69 points; Natural Science Pedagogy 27.47 points; Political Education 26.83 points; Physical Education 26.63 points and Special Education 26.53 points.
Meanwhile, Data Science majors have benchmark scores of 20.88 points; Artificial Intelligence 20.35 points; Chemistry (Chemistry and Pharmacy) 22.35 points...

Dr. Tran Ba Trinh, Head of the Training Department, Hanoi National University of Education, said that this year's benchmark scores will continue to be maintained at a high level for teacher training majors. Notably, the group of majors with high benchmark scores is no longer mainly concentrated in Mathematics Pedagogy, Literature Pedagogy, English Pedagogy or History Pedagogy.
According to him, the benchmark scores for Physics Pedagogy, Chemistry Pedagogy, Biology Pedagogy, Geography Pedagogy and Primary Education are all higher than last year. This shows that the attractiveness of teacher training majors, especially basic subjects in the general education system, is increasingly expanding.
Teacher training majors have received the attention of students with good academic ability. This is also a welcome sign for the education sector in the coming time" - Dr. Tran Ba Trinh assessed.
However, according to Dr. Tran Ba Trinh, high entrance scores are an important premise but do not mean that the output will definitely be good. High entrance scores reflect the good learning ability of students, and the training process has the task of transforming that capacity into professional competence, especially the qualities of teachers and commitment to the profession.
Receiving students with high entrance scores is both a source of pride and creates pressure for training institutions in the face of the trust and expectations of candidates, families and society.
Teacher training institutions, including Hanoi National University of Education, are increasingly innovating their training programs as well as the conditions for implementing the program. The goal is to make students with high entrance scores after 3, 3.5 or 4 years of training truly become teachers with good professional capacity, love and especially commitment to the profession, thereby contributing well to the education sector" - Dr. Tran Ba Trinh said.
Pedagogy students will be trained in integrating digital and AI capabilities
Faced with the requirement of digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, Hanoi National University of Education is reviewing the output standards and training programs of pedagogical majors in the direction of integrating digital and AI capabilities.
Since last year, the school has added Digital Education as a common subject, compulsory for students of all training majors. For this year's admitted students, this is the first generation to be trained in a program integrating digital competency and AI.
According to Dr. Tran Ba Trinh, this integration aims to equip students with the ability to use technology and AI in the learning process, and at the same time prepare for the requirements of applying technology in teaching after graduation.
The school expects students to be able to adapt to the digital transformation process, gradually becoming a force contributing to promoting the application of AI in education.
