According to regulations, candidates are required to take 2 subjects, including: Literature, Math and 2 elective subjects from the remaining subjects studied in grade 12, including: Foreign language, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology.
At this time, many universities in Ho Chi Minh City have announced their expected admission plans, including adding many new admission combinations, including subjects of Information Technology, Technology, Economic Education and Law.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade said that to ensure compliance with the new general education program, the school will add Math, English, Informatics and Economic and Legal Education subjects to some admission combinations.
In addition, this school also plans to add the group C admission combination to the admission list, including: C00 (Literature, History, Geography), C01 (Literature, Mathematics, Physics), C02 (Literature, Mathematics, Chemistry), C03 (Literature, Mathematics, History) and C14 ( Mathematics, Literature, Economic and Legal Education) for a number of majors.
Similarly, Van Lang University said that according to the characteristics of the new general education program, in the 2025 enrollment period, the school will add IT, Technology, Economic and Legal Education to the admission combinations.

Cu Xuan Tien - Head of the Admissions and Student Affairs Department of the University of Economics and Law (UEL) - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City said that in 2025, the school plans to have 4 admission subject combinations including: Math - English - Literature; Math - English - Physics; Math - English - Informatics; Math - English - Economic and Legal Education.
"The 2025 enrollment plan was developed by the school to select good candidates, ensure input quality in accordance with UEL's training requirements and meet the strict needs of the labor market. In case the Ministry of Education and Training and VNU-HCM issue new enrollment regulations, UEL will update and adjust the enrollment plan in accordance with current regulations," said MSc. Cu Xuan Tien.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry also added subjects of Information Technology, Technology, Economic and Legal Education along with compulsory subjects to form new admission combinations.
Gia Dinh University also plans to add some new admission combinations in some majors and majors, such as in the field of Information Technology, the school will add 2 new admission combinations: Math - Information - English and Math - Literature - Information.
For majors in the fields of communication, business, administration - management, law, social sciences and international law, banking and finance, the school adds the following combinations: Math - Literature - Physics, Math - Literature - History, Math - Literature - Economic and Legal Education, Math - Information - English.
