Putting aside housework, building a "dream school
In the last days of January 2026, on the construction site of Si Pa Phin Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School (Si Pa Phin commune, Dien Bien province), hundreds of workers are working urgently.
Mr. Sung A Co (Nam Chim 2 village, Si Pa Phin commune) is working with workers to clean up and embellish green trees to prepare for the inauguration ceremony on January 31.

Speaking about the reason for being here, Mr. Co said that at the end of October 2025, facing the choice of working in the lowlands or staying in the locality, he decided to stay as a worker in Si Pa Phin even though he had not contacted the construction site management at that time.
When I opened my mouth, Mr. Mach Ngoc Duc (Commander at the construction site - PV) agreed. Since then, I have personally contributed to building schools for my children and siblings" - Mr. Co said.
Sharing the same pride, Mr. Mua A Co (Che Nhu village, Si Pa Phin commune) believes that the motivation to come to the construction site also comes from the concerns of the past, when poverty and the long road to school have caused many peers to abandon their knowledge.

At the beginning of August 2025, when it was the rice harvest season, but because I wanted to contribute to building the school, I discussed with my family to proactively arrange housework to go work as a worker. If I couldn't harvest rice in time, I would ask more people to work, and the wages I asked for would be sent back later" - Mr. Co recalled.
Local craftsmen
Si Pa Phin Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School is the first project among 248 schools in land border communes to be implemented according to the policy of the Politburo.
Mr. Bui Duc Giang - General Director of Dien Bien Trade and Construction Company No. 6 - said that the big challenges when constructing in remote areas are manpower and harsh weather.

To solve difficulties, company leaders directly went to each village to mobilize and offer good remuneration regimes to attract local workers.
At the peak construction site, there are nearly 1,000 engineers and workers, of which nearly 300 are ethnic minorities in Si Pa Phin and neighboring communes" - Mr. Giang emphasized.
In the afternoon of January 30, before the inauguration ceremony, the blue-shirted workers were still diligently on the campus of the new spacious school.

Si Pa Phin Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School has a scale of 31 classes and more than 1,000 students. In which, the primary level has 15 classes with 450 students and the secondary level has 16 classes with 560 students, the number of students in need of boarding is 752 students.
The project is built in Nam Chim 1 village and officially started construction on July 27, 2025. This is a group B project, with a total investment of 220 billion VND (excluding compensation and site clearance costs) from the support capital of Hanoi City and socialized capital.
