On the morning of November 9, the Ministry of Education and Training chaired and coordinated with the People's Committees of 14 provinces to organize a simultaneous groundbreaking ceremony for boarding schools for primary and secondary schools in the border communes of the mainland.
In Dien Bien province, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a boarding school for primary and secondary schools in Thanh Nua commune.
According to the plan, the school is built on an area of 5.4 hectares, with a total investment of 224.4 billion VND from the central budget. The school will have 30 cultural classrooms, 13 subject classrooms, 99 boarding rooms for 790 students, 15 public rooms for teachers...

On the same day, the Thanh Yen Commune Primary and Secondary Boarding School also started construction on an area of 6 hectares, with a total investment of 200 billion VND. The school will be built with 30 new classrooms, 81 public rooms...
In addition to Thanh Nua and Thanh Yen communes, on November 9, Dien Bien province started construction of 4 more primary and secondary schools in 4 border communes: Quang Lam, Muong Nha, Nam Ke and Sen Thau commune.
Previously, Dien Bien province organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 4 schools in 4 border communes: Si Pa Phin, Nu Ngam, Na Bung and Sam Mon.

Also on the morning of November 9, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son attended and directed the groundbreaking ceremony at Hua Bum Primary and Secondary Boarding School, Dao San, Lai Chau Province.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son affirmed that the 100 inter-level boarding schools invested in and built are projects implemented in the first phase out of a total of 248 schools in 248 border communes.

Mr. Nguyen Kim Son emphasized that the schools are invested to meet the learning needs, boarding and semi-boarding activities of high school students in border communes, without discrimination. As high school students in border communes, they are all entitled to boarding and semi-boarding policies.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the projects are large-scale, modern, synchronous, meeting the needs of learning, training, boarding, and semi-boarding of students and public housing for teachers, with a total investment of nearly 20,000 billion VND from the central budget.
