“Because it is searched a lot on online platforms, many people naturally think that it is a hot industry. Even industries that are considered truly hot are not sure to maintain their attractiveness for another 5-7 years” - Dr. Quang said.
Besides, many students still have a mentality of choosing a major based on their level of fame, the advertised salary, or according to the choices of friends, without really understanding whether that major is suitable for them.

Find thoroughly, understand deeply and be careful

Students should actively learn about the training programs of the majors on the official websites of universities. Through this, they can know what they will study, what job opportunities are and what the professional environment is like.
If you have not identified your favorite major, start by eliminating majors that you feel are not suitable. Gradually, the list of choices will be narrowed down" - teacher Dang Linh said.
After having a list of about 5-10 suitable majors, students should continue to learn more through many different sources of information such as the school's website, official information channels, career sharing videos or exchanges with students and alumni who are studying in that major.

Besides choosing a major, the arrangement of aspirations is also an issue that worries many candidates. Especially in the context that candidates are only allowed to register a certain number of aspirations, building a reasonable registration strategy is very important.
