This morning (May 6), Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the scores of the 3rd round of the Thinking Assessment (TSA) exam in 2025. The exam was successful with the candidate rate reaching over 98%.
TSA round 3 - the last round of 2025 is organized in 4 teams (from April 26 to April 27) with nearly 24,000 candidates registering to take the exam.
The exam will be held at the same time at 30 exam locations, including 17 exam locations in the Hanoi area and 13 exam locations in localities such as: Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Da Nang.
In the third team of the competition, the Examination Council recorded 3 questions related to complex numbers and 1 question had an error display. The exam board has determined that these exam questions are all in the bridge set for balancing exam questions between years.
The Examination Council decided to eliminate these exam questions from the bridge (the common sentences in both subjects used to pull the exam results, different crews on the same scale, ensuring the fairness of all exam batches). The number of remaining exam questions in the bridge still ensures the technique of calculating the parameters for the test balance, ensuring fairness as well as not affecting the TSA scoring process of the test.
The results of the third round of the exam score are summarized as follows:
The highest score of round 3 is 91.29/100;
There were 2 contestants with over 90 points; 106 contestants with over 80 points; 1,257 contestants with over 70 points;
The average score of the third round is 54.89/100;
The neutral score of the third round is 54.88/100;
The valedictorian of the 3rd round is a student from Do Luong 3 High School, Nghe An.

Starting from 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will issue exam results certificates to candidates in the form of electronic number signatures and will be sent directly to the candidate's exam registration account on the system. Candidates access their registered accounts at https://tsa.hust.edu.vn to see the results of their 3rd round.
The results of the thinking assessment test will be used in the university admission work for the 2025 admission season with more than 40 schools registering to use them. The plan to convert the standard score (admission score) between different starting points (XTTN, TSA, high school) is expected to be announced after having high school graduation exam scores in 2025.
The formula for calculating admission scores based on the Test score for the Testing of Thinking Assessment (TSA) is as follows:
Admission score = (TSA exam score + Bonus score) + Priority score
In which: The bonus point is the bonus point for candidates with foreign language certificates (CCNN) according to the regulations of Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Priority point is the priority point according to the subject and area according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Illustrative example:
1) Candidates A with an TSA score of 55.36, with an IELTS International Backup score of 8.0 (7-point prize), candidates in region 1 (+0.75 on a 30, then the admission score according to TSA exam scores will be:

2) Candidates B with TSA test scores are 73.68, with IELTS International Backup Scores are 6.5 (4-point prize), candidates in rural areas (+0.5 on a 30, then the admission score according to TSA test scores will be:
