In 2025, the whole country will have about 10 competency and thinking assessment exams organized by universities. The three exams of the two national universities and Hanoi University of Science and Technology have the largest regulations.
The results of these exams are used by many universities as a basis for admission.
Yersin University of Da Lat this year will consider admission based on the results of the 2025 competency assessment exam of Ho Chi Minh City National University or other universities
The admission score is a conversion score on a 30-point scale from the total score of the 2025 competency assessment test of Ho Chi Minh City National University or other universities organized; with priority points for subjects and areas according to regulations.
Conditions, conversion scores are 15 points or more; Nursing major is 18 points or more and Pharmacy major is 20 points or more.
For the Nursing major, the school will admit candidates with a grade 12 academic performance classified as good or better or a high school graduation score of 6.5 or higher; the Pharmacy major will admit candidates with a grade 12 academic performance classified as good or a high school graduation score of 8.0 or higher.
At Ton Duc Thang University, candidates must achieve an average score (from 600 points) or higher on the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test (excluding priority points) to ensure the entrance score of this method.
Many other schools such as Foreign Trade University, National Economics University, Banking Academy, University of Commerce, ... have also announced the floor score for capacity assessment and thinking assessment. Candidates can follow through the following table:
