Hai Duong Secretary becomes Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate

The Prime Minister transferred and appointed Mr. Tran Duc Thang - Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee - to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate.

On June 17, 2025, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 1179/QD-TTg on the transfer, assignment and appointment of Mr. Tran Duc Thang - Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee - to hold the position of Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate Standing Committee. The term of appointment is 5 years.

Mr. Tran Duc Thang was born in 1973, from Vinh Phuc province.

He was Deputy Director and then Director of the Department of Asset Management, Ministry of Finance. From October 2018 to 2022, Mr. Tran Duc Thang worked at the Central Inspection Committee, holding the positions of: Member of the Central Inspection Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee.

In January 2021, he was elected as a member of the 13th Party Central Committee; in October 2022, he was Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee.

On the same day, in Decision No. 1177/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister transferred, assigned and appointed Mr. Ho Van Nien - Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee - to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions. The term of appointment is 5 years.

These decisions take effect from July 1, 2025.
