On August 30, speaking with reporters, a representative of Nghe An University (Unic) said that the school had provided official information about parents' opinions on choosing a unit to provide meals for boarding high school students of the school.
Accordingly, many parents believe that the school's change of unit providing meals for students of Nghe An Pedagogical practice school is unreasonable because the current model still ensures quality.
In response to opposing opinions, Nghe An University affirmed that the goal of developing Nghe An Pedagogical Practice Primary and Secondary School is advanced and high-quality, so the selection of a unit to provide meals is to improve the quality of management and ensure food hygiene and safety.
Previously, Nghe An University cooked for students by hiring a cook at the school. However, to ensure food safety and hygiene and improve the quality of management, the school has decided to change this model.
From the 2025 - 2026 school year, the school will contract with units with sufficient capacity, experience and professionalism to provide cooking services at the school. The selection of service provider is carried out in accordance with regulations.
The school emphasized that changing the kitchen model will not increase service costs, and committed that meals must be of equal or higher quality than before. The implementation process will be supervised by parents, schools and relevant agencies.
Nghe An University also expressed its appreciation for the parents' feedback, and affirmed that it will accept it to further improve the quality of student care and education.
