Green school covers, the journey to spread green vehicles

Instead of using gasoline cars, many young people tend to gradually switch to traveling by electric cars.

Thousands of high school students nationwide have been trained to drive safely, experience VinFast electric motorbike models and raise awareness of environmental protection through the series of events "School Green" organized by Vietnamese car company.

Nguyen Duyen Anh Nhien, a student at Tran Phu High School (HCMC), is one of the students participating in the experience at the "Green School" event on February 24. For Nhien, this is a special event to help him better understand the meaning of switching to green vehicles.

Anh Nhien shared: "Most of the current pollution comes from gasoline and oil vehicles, causing the environment to become increasingly polluted. To overcome this, everyone can contribute by choosing to travel by electric vehicle". According to Anh Nhien, VinFast's special program has helped him better understand electric vehicles.

For Nhien, electric vehicles bring 3 great benefits at the same time. First of all, it helps reduce environmental pollution because electric vehicles do not emit CO2 like gasoline motorbikes. Second, electric vehicles are very quiet and easy to move in crowded areas such as in the city. Electric vehicles help save costs, because charging an electric vehicle is much cheaper than filling up with gas.

More importantly, choosing an electric vehicle makes me feel like I am doing a small but meaningful thing to protect the environment, said the female student. Nhien said that he personally plans to ask his parents to buy an electric car that suits him.

At many other schools, many students also agreed and expressed their support for switching to electric vehicles. Many young people have also said that they will mobilize their families and relatives to use electric vehicles in the near future.

VinFast's series of events also made many students excited to directly experience many green car models. "The car is designed beautifully and more personally than other models on the market. I like small, cute things so I feel very suitable for myself and girls - Bui Huyen Nhu, an 11th grade student in Ho Chi Minh City, was impressed by the VinFast Motio model.

Many students are also captivated by the type of vehicle suitable for this student. "The boat is more confident and smooth than the type of boat I am traveling on. The vehicle can continuously move up to 82km after each full charge. My house is 2km from the school, so with such parameters, it will take a long time to travel, on average, only have to charge once every 2 weeks" - Van Chuong - a student in Hanoi - plans.

Not only students, many parents also expressed strong support for the "Green School" event. I am very happy that my child can learn about electric vehicles right at school. This program helps children understand that choosing green vehicles is not only for themselves but also for the general environment. I believe that if children are educated early, they will have the habit of using clean vehicles, contributing to creating a greener generation of travel" - Ms. Tran Thu Ha ( parent of 11th grade student, Ho Chi Minh City) said.

According to many parents, bringing electric vehicles and green lifestyles to schools is the right direction, because this is the generation that will decide the future of sustainable transportation. In developed countries, students have been familiar with green vehicles since a very early age. Vietnam is on the path of strong transformation and programs like VinFast's "School Green roof" will help the younger generation form good habits right now. This is a way to sow the seeds for a sustainable transportation future" - Ms. Ha said.
