On March 19, Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 5 inter-level boarding primary and secondary schools in 5 land border communes including: Bo Y, Ia Dal, Ia Toi, Dak Polo and Dak Long.
Implementing the Party and State's policy, in phase 1, the province started construction of 4 schools in the border communes of Duc Nong, Sa Loong, Ro Koi and Mo Rai.
Moving to phase 2, Quang Ngai continues to deploy the construction of 5 schools in Bo Y, Ia Dal, Ia Toi, Dak Polo and Dak Long communes, with a total investment of more than 1,116 billion VND.
Specifically, the school in Bo Y commune is built on an area of about 5 hectares, with a scale of 43 classrooms, serving about 1,600 students. The school in Ia Dal commune has an area of nearly 5 hectares, including 47 classrooms, serving about 1,400 students. The school in Ia Toi commune is built and expanded on an area of more than 5 hectares, with 30 classrooms, serving about 1,000 students.
The school in Dak Polo commune has an area of about 5 hectares, a scale of 24 classrooms, serving more than 680 students. The school in Dak Long commune is built on an area of about 5 hectares, with 34 classrooms, serving more than 960 students.
Inter-level boarding schools in land border communes are designed synchronously, with full items from classrooms, dormitories, multi-purpose buildings to technical infrastructure systems, meeting the learning, living and training needs of students.
It is expected that all projects will be completed before August 30, 2027 and put into operation in the 2027–2028 school year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Y Ngoc, Standing Vice Chairwoman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee, requested relevant agencies, units, and localities to strictly implement regulations on construction investment management; regularly urge, inspect, and closely supervise the implementation process; organize scientific construction, ensure labor safety, environmental protection, as well as the quality and progress of works.
Quang Ngai province will mobilize all resources, promote the tradition of studiousness, solidarity and high determination of the Party Committee, government and people to soon complete the border boarding school projects, becoming exemplary schools, bright spots of the local education sector," Ms. Y Ngoc emphasized.
