In 2025, the Petroleum High School will enroll 595 grade 10 students.
In particular, at the district 5 base (location at 153 Nguyen Chi Thanh, Ward 9, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City, organized in the form of one session). 7 -class recruiting school: Math (1 class), Informatics (1 class), Physics (1 class), Chemistry (1 class), Biology (1 class), English (1 class) and Literature (1 class). Total target: 245 students, each class must not exceed 35 students.
Thu Duc campus (league location in Ho Chi Minh City National University Urban Area, organized in the form of boarding), includes 10 specialized classes: Math (2 classes), IT (1 class), Physics (1 class), Chemistry (1 class), Biology (1 class), English (2 classes) and Literature (2 classes). Total quota: 350 students, each class does not exceed 35 students.
The 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year of the Petroleum School will take place on May 24 and 25, 2025.
Each candidate must do 4 subjects, including 3 non-professional subjects (Math, Literature, English) and 1 specialized subject from the following subjects: Math, Informatics, Math, Chemistry, Biology, Literature and English.
Each candidate can register for a maximum of 2 subjects in the optional subject exam. In case of registration for 2 subjects, candidates need to ensure that they choose 1 subject in each group (group 1: Math - Literature; group 2: English - Physics - Chemistry - Biology - Informatics).
