Responsibility of a teacher, a doctor
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy (born in 1969 in Hue City), is currently the Principal, senior lecturer, and treating physician at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University and Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. He graduated with a PhD in Medicine, majoring in Gynecology and Oncology at the University of Düsseldorf (Germany) and was awarded the title of Professor in 2019.
In addition to his role as principal and a scientist at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, teacher Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy is also the President of the Vietnam - Germany Friendship Association of Thua Thien Hue province, an honorary member of the Vietnam - France Friendship Association of Thua Thien Hue province, Vice President of the Vietnam Obstetrics and Gynecology Association and an honorary member of the French Republic Obstetrics and Gynecology Association.
In teaching, research and medical examination and treatment, Professor, Doctor of Medicine, Meritorious Teacher Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy always identifies studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style as important content to raise awareness and responsibility of staff and lecturers in the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.
That is the source of motivation to spread patriotism, encourage cadres and lecturers to enthusiastically study, work, and well implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws.
From the assigned responsibility, over the years, teacher Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy has strived to excellently fulfill the responsibilities of leadership, management, teaching, scientific research and medical examination and treatment. He and the school's leadership focused on leading and directing the school to continuously rise to the level of a core member of the specialized medical center of the Central region and the whole country.
On October 17, 2024, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy was recognized by the Central Propaganda Department as a typical "School - Institute" model in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the Central - Central Highlands region in 2024.
Honored many times
Most recently, on November 15, in Hanoi, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy, Principal of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, was honored as a typical individual studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style in 2024.
Previously, with a group of colleagues implementing the project "Optimizing reproductive health care for women in areas with limited resources: From research to application", Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy received the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Science and Technology (6th round, 2021).
In June 2024, he was honored to receive the 2024 National Order of Merit from the French State, with the title of Knight, by the President of France.
In the past three years, teacher Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy has had many scientific works published, including 14 domestic articles and 39 international articles; 14 initiatives, scientific research topics, research works, and applications of science and technology into practice, including 11 grassroots initiatives, 3 initiatives with effective application at the ministerial level, and 1 initiative with effective application and nationwide influence.
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper reporters his personal feelings about the awards he has received, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy always mentioned his colleagues, as well as the school he is working at. Prof. Huy said that talking about the ego is very difficult, we must talk about the strength and contribution of the collective, the result is the efforts of many members of the school.
With outstanding contributions in teaching, scientific research and community health care, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy is not only a shining example of dedication, but also a model of dedication and responsibility in improving the quality of education and health care.
