Inside the hospital, departments, contractors and construction units are rushing to complete the final stages of installing medical equipment, bed systems, etc. Outside the hospital grounds, units are cleaning and setting up the theater to prepare for the inauguration ceremony of the Hospital, which will take place on the morning of December 19.
Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Hoang Cuong - Deputy Head of the Medical Project Management Board - Project Investor (under the Ministry of Health) - said that the equipment and machinery system at Bach Mai Hospital, Facility 2, is modernly invested, ensuring sufficient conditions to operate 30% of the capacity.
"The total investment for the machinery system serving medical examination and treatment here is about 1,100 billion VND. In which, there are modern machines such as the >3.0 Tesla resonance imaging system of GE (USA) worth about 80 billion VND" - Mr. Cuong said.
According to Mr. Cuong, to ensure the hospital's safe operation, on the afternoon of December 16, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Ninh Binh Provincial Police coordinated with Bach Mai Hospital, branch 2 in Ninh Binh to organize a fire prevention and rescue drill.
Hanoi and Ninh Binh facilities are one
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Xuan Co - Director of Bach Mai Hospital, the Hospital Party Committee met and issued a historic Resolution, agreeing to officially put Bach Mai Hospital, Facility 2 in Ninh Binh into operation phase 1 from December 19, 2025.
The Party Committee and Board of Directors of Bach Mai Hospital thoroughly grasp the viewpoint that the two facilities in Hanoi and Ninh Binh must be a unified system, operating synchronously, with high quality. The hospital has developed a large-scale human resource plan, determining the minimum number of personnel to operate a new 1,000-bed facility to 1,154 people.
Currently, the hospital has recruited and provided advanced training for more than 600 doctors, nurses, medical technicians, and obstetricians. The hospital rotates at least 1/3 of the staff needed to operate a high-level medical facility from Hanoi as the core at Ninh Binh facility (this rate can increase depending on the actual situation). Currently, more than 600 civil servants and employees have registered to work at Ninh Binh facility phase 1 (over 50% of the required human resources).
Issues on organization system, operating process, electronic medical records connection, HIS - LIS - RIS, health insurance examination and treatment mechanism, bidding, operating services... are ready to plan the operation plan when the facilities are handed over. In particular, the hospital has built an operating model of "one hospital - two facilities", ensuring unity in professional management, quality standards and connectivity in medical examination and treatment, health insurance and operations.
