Mr. Ngo Van Tuyen - Head of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Tan district said that in the 2024 - 2025 school year, the district will have 7 new schools in operation, including five primary schools, one kindergarten, one Secondary school with a total of 204 classrooms.
Accordingly, Dinh Cong Trang Primary School, An Lac ward was built on an area of 12,987.50 m2, including 28 classrooms and 980 students.
Nguyen Cong Tru Primary School (Binh Tri Dong A ward) was built on an area of 13,106m2, including 30 classrooms with 1,050 students.
Tran Cao Van Primary School (Tan Tao ward) was built on an area of 12,844 square meters, including 30 classrooms and 1,050 students.
Hoang Van Thu Primary School (Binh Hung Hoa B ward) has an area of 12,694m2, including 30 classrooms, 1,050 students.
Huynh Thuc Khang Primary School (Binh Hung Hoa ward) was built on an area of 12,826m2, 30 classrooms, 1,050 students.
Binh Tri Dong B Secondary School, Binh Tri Dong B ward was built on an area of 13,556 square meters, including 36 classrooms with 1,620 students.
Nguyet Que Kindergarten (Binh Hung Hoa A ward), includes 20 classrooms, can accommodate about 500 students.
"This is the year the district built the most new classrooms. The operation of 7 new schools will help increase the proportion of students studying twice a day in the district. The number of students at the elementary level will be reduced. /class, less than 40 students, while at the secondary level there are about 45 students/class," Mr. Ngo Van Tuyen said.
Similarly, in Hoc Mon district, Le Van Phien Primary School (Tan Thoi Nhi commune), will also be put into operation in the 2024-2025 school year.
Le Van Phien Primary School was built with 15 classes with 525 students, the average number is 35 students/class. The total investment in school construction is 57.5 billion VND.
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has also just issued a time plan for the 2024 - 2025 school year. Accordingly, students at all levels return to school on August 26, with grade 1 students coming to school from August 19. Schools from preschool to high school all open the new school year on September 5.
