The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has just guided some contents for organizing the 2026 high school graduation exam. According to the guidance, candidates need to pay attention to important time milestones.
Before 5:00 PM on April 15: Complete the creation and handover of accounts to candidates who are 12th grade students in the 2025 - 2026 school year.
From the 17th to the end of the 21st: Candidates who are 12th grade students try to register for the online exam on the Exam Management System.
From April 24 to 5 pm on May 5: Candidates register for the exam, register for online graduation recognition; enter the exam registration form, register for graduation recognition of candidates submitting applications in a direct form.
No later than May 13: Registration units complete for candidates to sign information confirmation and hand over the Exam Registration Form to candidates.
No later than June 5: Complete the public announcement of cases where candidates do not meet the conditions for taking the exam.
No later than June 3: Exam councils complete registration numbering and exam room arrangement according to each exam paper/subject at exam sites.
The high school graduation schedule for 2026 will take place from June 10, 2026 to June 13, 2026.

In which, on June 10, 2026, in the morning, a meeting will be held with officials in charge of exam supervision at exam sites; in the afternoon, candidates will complete exam procedures in the exam room, correct errors (if any) and listen to the dissemination of exam regulations and exam schedules.
On June 11, 2026, in the morning, candidates take the Literature exam, the exam time is 120 minutes; in the afternoon, the Math exam, the exam time is 90 minutes.
On June 12, 2026, in the morning, candidates take the elective exam including two subjects, each subject has a test time of 50 minutes.
June 13, 2026 is the reserve exam day.
The Ministry of Education and Training requires the preparation and organization of the exam to be carried out according to regulations. In which, the registration for the exam and arranging of exam rooms must ensure compliance with regulations; photos of candidates on the system must have a minimum resolution of 400x600 pixels, taken in the style of an ID card and not more than 06 months before the application deadline.
In the process of registering for the exam, registering for university and college admission, candidates must use a uniform type of personal identification document, which is the ID card/Citizen ID card/Personal identification card/Passport number. For grading work, essay grading is organized in two independent rounds; do not finish grading round 1 of all exam papers and then organize round 2 grading.
Multiple-choice exam grading must ensure technical requirements for equipment and software, in which the scanner and exam grading machine must meet the minimum configuration according to regulations. The entry of exam scores is carried out according to a process including the steps of entry of scores, checking, comparing and confirming on the exam grading support software; after completing, implement the function key to enter essay exam scores. After completing the exam grading work, the data is updated to the Exam Management System and sent to the Ministry of Education and Training according to regulations.
According to the plan, the exam results will be announced at 8:00 AM on July 1, 2026;
The consideration of high school graduation recognition will be completed no later than July 3, 2026; Data updates and reporting to the Ministry of Education and Training will be completed no later than July 4, 2026.
No later than July 1st to the end of July 5th: Receive re-examination applications and make a re-examination list.
No later than July 7: Issuance of Exam Result Certificates; return of transcripts and related certificates (originals) to candidates.
The Ministry of Education and Training requests relevant units to strictly implement regulations on confidentiality, security, and safety throughout the entire exam organization process; fully implement the reporting regime, ensuring accurate data before reporting to the Ministry of Education and Training.
