One of the notable new points in this year's 10th grade admission exam is the adjustment of the admission score calculation method.
Instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years; in 2025, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language), each subject is calculated on a scale of 10 and not multiplied by coefficient. This calculation method aims to ensure fairness between subjects, encouraging students to study all subjects equally.
Formula for calculating admission scores (DXT) for grade 10 non-professional public high school in Hanoi in 2025: DXT = Math score + Literature score + Foreign language score + priority score (if any) + incentive score (if any).
The 2025-2026 non-professional public 10th grade entrance exam will be held on June 7 and 8; the specialized exam will be held on June 9, 2025.
This year, the whole city of Hanoi has 115,951 candidates registered to take the exam (including 102,860 candidates taking the non-professional public exam, 13,091 candidates taking the professional exam). Hanoi has arranged 4,411 exam rooms and 201 exam locations in 30 districts, towns and cities.
