On September 20, 2026, Foreign Trade University held a graduation ceremony for the 2nd phase of 2026 for more than 1,700 full-time university students of Course 61 and supplementary courses, studying at Hanoi Headquarters and Quang Ninh Campus.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of Foreign Trade University said that besides professional capacity, leadership capacity, adaptability or innovation, the ability to become a reliable person with colleagues, friends and those around will create a solid foundation for each person to seize opportunities and go further on the career path.
Let the journey of realizing your dreams be associated with the journey of building "capacity to create trust" to take steady steps on the journey ahead" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong said.

The Principal also recalled the special imprints of Course 61 - the generation that entered the lecture hall when the COVID-19 pandemic just passed and accompanied the school in the process of testing many new educational models such as co-lecturing, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, "campus-in-campus" international cooperation and the training model associated with international career development CDIM. K61's experiences are seen as part of the premise for the school's innovations in the next development phase.
Representing the new graduates this time, Nguyen Thanh Binh - Valedictorian of the 61st Advanced Economics Program, GPA 3.98/4.0 - spoke at the ceremony, sharing about his four-year journey from initial confusion and skepticism to the process of gradually discovering himself, stepping out of the comfort zone and growing up in Foreign Trade.
Thanh Binh believes that the precious thing that four years of university brings is not always having the answer available, but the courage to continue walking even when there is no answer. Experiencing a semester of exchange in Germany also helps the new valedictorian look broader into the world and ask questions about the values he can contribute to where he started.
If today I could send a message to myself and to all of you before we leave Foreign Trade, I wouldn't say: "Be successful". Instead, I want to say: "Do something meaningful"" - Thanh Binh said.

From her experience, the female student sends to her peers the spirit of daring to step out into the world but still remembering where she started; daring to look for problems that need to be solved and not thinking that she is too young to start creating change.
At the main ceremony, the school summarized the academic results of students and announced the decision to recognize graduation. Among more than 1,700 students graduating this time, about 25% of students graduated with Excellent grades.
