According to information from the Ha Tinh Border Guard Command, due to the influence of the low pressure circulation, in the afternoon of September 15, heavy prolonged rain occurred in some areas of Song Tri and Vung Ang wards, causing deep flooding and localized division.
At Song Tri Secondary School at the school point in Hai Thanh residential group (Song Tri ward), the water rose from 1 to 1.2 m, causing the school area to be deeply flooded and isolated.
Faced with the above situation, the Border Guard Command of Vung Ang - Son Duong Port Border Gate sent 20 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities and the Military Command of Song Tri Ward to urgently deploy a rescue plan.
By 5 pm on the same day, the forces had taken 120 students and some teachers of Song Tri Secondary School out of the school safely.
Next, officers and soldiers of the Border Guard continued to support households in flooded areas in Hai Thanh residential group, Song Tri ward and Canh Truong residential group, Vung Ang ward to move and raise their assets to avoid damage.
