5 major university projects in Bac Ninh
On the afternoon of September 18, at the headquarters of Kinh Bac Ward People's Committee, Mr. Le Xuan Loi - Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee - chaired a meeting to review the progress of investment and construction of a number of university projects in the area south of Cau River, Bac Ninh province.
Also attending were leaders of a number of related departments and branches; representatives of the Board of Directors of universities with projects in the area including: Hanoi University of Pharmacy; Hanoi Medical University; Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment; Foreign Trade University.
The project "Building Hanoi University of Pharmacy at the regional level" in Vo Cuong ward, Bac Ninh province has a total investment of 45 million USD from preferential loans from the Korean Government and more than 244 billion VND from counterpart capital from the Vietnamese Government.
Currently, the project has completed site clearance and has been issued the first Land allocation decision by the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province with an area of 205,678.1m2.
The project to build a Hanoi Medical University facility in Bac Ninh province is an important project, included in the Project "Developing Hanoi Medical University into a National Key Higher Education Institution in the top group in Asia" approved by the Prime Minister.
The Hanoi University of Science and Technology project in Bac Ninh province has an area of about 12.6 hectares in University Village I, in Vo Cuong ward and Tien Du commune.
The investment project to build the Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment in Bac Ninh has a scale of about 13 hectares with a total investment of nearly 1,300 billion VND.
Foreign Trade University implements investment project to build facilities of Foreign Trade University in Dong Nguyen ward, Bac Ninh province.
At the meeting, leaders of departments and branches of Bac Ninh province directly discussed a number of recommendations of universities.
At the same time, it suggests and guides a number of ways to implement the work in the coming time.
Strive to start construction as soon as possible in the first quarter of 2026
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Le Xuan Loi affirmed that in recent times, Bac Ninh province has always paid attention to developing policies to attract investment, creating the most favorable conditions for universities to implement projects in the province with the goal of making Bac Ninh one of the leading training, research and development centers of the country and the region.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province requested universities to continue to pay attention to, develop plans, speed up the progress of investment preparation, and strive to start projects by the end of the first quarter of 2026 at the latest.
Mr. Le Xuan Loi assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Construction, the Department of Finance and relevant agencies and units to coordinate and guide universities to speed up project implementation procedures.
