The Ministry of Education and Training proposes a specific coefficient for the salary of public preschool teachers at 1.25, general education teachers at 1.15. Teachers who are teaching students with disabilities, integration, and boarding schools have a coefficient of 1.2-1,3.
Formula for calculating teachers' salaries = Basic salary x Current salary coefficient x Special salary coefficient.
From January 1, 2026, with the same salary coefficient and basic salary, teachers' salaries will increase to at least 15% and at most 30% (corresponding to the specific coefficient).
According to the draft Decree regulating salary and allowance policies for teachers of the Ministry of Education and Training, the highest salary for junior high school teachers can reach over VND 18,244,980.
The salary table for secondary school teachers according to the Salary Coefficient in Circular 02/2021/TT-BGDDT and the Specific Coefficient according to the draft (calculated on the basic salary of VND 2,340,000) does not include the following allowances:
