Among the military schools that have announced the admission combination in 2026, the Border Guard Academy plans to strongly adjust the admission combination structure in 2026 when eliminating the two traditional combinations C00 (Literature, History, Geography) and A01 (Math, Physics, English).
Instead, the school only uses three combinations including C03 (Literature, Math, History), C04 (Literature, Math, Geography) and D01 (Literature, Math, English) for both training majors: Border Guard and Law.

The Political Officer School also no longer considers admission based on the A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry) and C00 combinations. In 2026, the school will enroll students in four groups including C01 (Literature, Math, Physics), C03, C04 and D01.
Meanwhile, the Military Medical Academy, the Military Technical Academy, the Naval Academy, the School of Information Officers and the School of Armored Officers continue to maintain the same admission combinations as last year.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, starting from 2026, each admission combination must have at least three subjects, including Math or Literature; at the same time, the general subjects in the combination must account for at least 50% of the total admission weight.
This is the reason why schools adjust admission combinations, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry.
In 2025, military schools will apply 3 admission methods including: Direct admission and priority admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of National Defense; admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam organized by Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University; Admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam. Candidates are allowed to register to participate in the admission process for all admission methods.
13 admission combinations used by schools include: A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), C00 (Literature, History, Geography), C01 (Literature, Math, Physics), C02 (Literature, Math, Chemistry), C03 (Literature, Math, History), C04 (Literature, Math, Geography), D01 (Math, Literature, English), D02 (Math, Literature, Russian), D04 (Math, Literature, Chinese), D07 (Math, Chemistry, English), A0t (Math, Physics, Information).
