The Political Officer School has just announced the groups for admission to military university training in the regular system in 2026.
Compared to 2025, the school has eliminated the admission combination of C00 (Literature, History, Geography) and A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry). The 4 admission combinations from 2026 include: C01 (Literature, Math, Physics), C03 (Literature, Math, History), C04 (Literature, Math, Geography) and D01 (Literature, Math, English).
Similarly, the Border Guard Academy also announced that from 2026, the academy will only use 3 admission combinations, including C03 (literature, Math, history), C04 (literature, Math, geography), D01 (literature, Math, English).
Compared to last year, the academy has considered the combination of C00 (literature, history, geography), A01 ( Math, why, English), C01 (literature, Math, why).
Explaining the removal of admission combinations, both schools said that, implementing the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, from 2026, each combination must include at least 3 subjects suitable for the characteristics of the training program, in which Math or Literature accounts for at least 25% of the score. The total number of subjects of the group must contribute at least 50% of the admission score.
To be suitable, the school will use Literature and Math as the main subjects in the admission combinations. These are two mandatory subjects in the high school graduation exam, so 100% of candidates take the exam. The third subject is flexibly changed depending on the training major.
This is an optimal option, agreed upon by many experts to help ensure the rights of candidates, while being suitable for the characteristics of the training industry and enrollment needs.
In 2025, 20 military schools will use 13 admission combinations including: Math - Physics - Geography (A00); Math - Physics - English (A01); Math - Geography - Natural (B00); Literature - History - Geography (C00); Literature - Math - Physics (C01); Literature - Math - History (C03); Literature - Math - Geography (C04); Literature - Math - English (D01); Literature - Math - Chinese (D02); Literature - Math - Chinese (D04); Math - Geography - English (D07) and Math - English (A0T).
Of which, only the Political Officer School and the Border Guard Academy recruited C00.
Thus, in 2026, it is likely that no military school will consider admission to this traditional social sport group.
