Costly to go abroad to take TELC certification exam

Anh Sơn |

The cost of taking the TELC certificate abroad is twice as high as taking it domestically. Therefore, it is necessary to remove difficulties in organizing this exam in Vietnam.

Causing difficulties for students and workers

TELC certificate is not only an important requirement for workers who wish to work in Germany but also a condition to help them confidently integrate and work effectively in an international environment. Especially in industries such as medicine, engineering, and services - industries that are lacking human resources in Germany, this certificate is considered extremely important. Having a TELC German certificate will open up stable career opportunities, bring high income and sustainable life for Vietnamese workers.

Amid the growing demand for TELC study and testing in Vietnam, the lack of specific guidelines from the authorities has caused many obstacles for workers. Many students are forced to seek testing opportunities in neighboring countries such as Malaysia or the Philippines, which increases costs and preparation time.

However, not all students have the financial ability to go abroad to take the TELC certification exam, causing a large number of students to be unable to complete their study path. The cost of travel and accommodation abroad makes the group of students who are able to take the actual exam very small.

Currently, reputable organizations operating in the field of German language training and study abroad consulting such as SHD, WBS Training Vietnam, VAT Group, EduGo… with thousands of students studying, are facing difficulties because there is no specific guidance document on the TELC exam in Vietnam. This not only causes great confusion for students but also puts great pressure on businesses with a large number of students remaining.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hoat - a young worker preparing to go to Germany, "not being able to take the exam in Vietnam not only doubles the cost but also causes me to delay my work, while the recruitment demand in Germany is very necessary."

Le Van Vinh, a German language student, also said that the demand for TELC exams in the country is currently very high, but not many exams have been reopened. This is the biggest problem for students.

“The effective solution now is to go abroad to take the exam. In addition to the cost of accommodation and travel, you also don’t know if you passed the first time or if you will have to go again,” said Vinh.

In German exam preparation groups, many people are also impatient because they cannot register for the new exam schedule. "After finishing studying but there is no exam location, where should I go, everyone?" - an account asked in the German exam preparation group. Below, many other accounts commented that, at this time, many centers do not have exam schedules and if you want to take the exam right away, you can only go abroad.

According to the reporter's records, the lack of domestic exams also causes difficulties in the process of recruiting Vietnamese workers to Germany, delays the progress of human resource supply and affects the plans of workers as well as their families.

Proposal for quick licensing

Regarding this issue, SHD Corp Joint Stock Company and organizations such as WBS Training Vietnam, VAT Group, EduGo and many other units hope that the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) will create favorable conditions by quickly granting licenses to organize TELC exams in Vietnam.

This not only helps create favorable conditions for workers but also demonstrates the commitment of the Ministry of Education and Training in accompanying the development of high-quality human resources. In order for workers to easily access job opportunities in Germany, the examination system needs to be established promptly and meet international standards.

Enterprises affirmed that they are always ready to cooperate and comply with state management regulations in education, ensuring operations in accordance with legal regulations. The licensing of the TELC exam is an important move to support young workers to achieve their career dreams, creating long-term development opportunities for Vietnamese human resources.

Having clear instructions on the TELC exam will help Vietnamese workers to take the exam and receive the TELC certificate right in Vietnam. This not only helps reduce costs for learners but also supports workers to quickly access job opportunities and settle in Germany, solving the labor shortage in many essential industries.

At the same time, a transparent and standardized examination system will help students and their families feel more secure about the quality of the certificates they receive. Education centers in Vietnam can operate legally and transparently, contributing to enhancing their reputation and creating conditions for young workers to have a sustainable foundation when entering the international market.

The licensing of the TELC exam is a strategic step to support the young workforce, while helping Vietnam affirm the global competitiveness of Vietnamese human resources. This is a golden time for the Ministry of Education and Training to take quick steps, promptly meet the international human resource needs, especially for the German market, and open a new era for Vietnamese human resources to reach out to the world.
