Dragon Cloud Glass Bridge tourist area located in Tam Duong district (Lai Chau) is invested by Hoang Lien Son Group Joint Stock Company.
Phase 1 has invested about 1,200 billion VND on an area of over 8 hectares, with many items being exploited such as outdoor elevators, glass bridges extending out to the cliff, glass bridges clinging to the cliff, restaurants, thrilling amusement parks, and spiritual areas.
However, the shabby state due to both exploitation and construction investment has made many tourists complain about the not-so-interesting experiences.
On November 11, many tourist groups visited the Glass Bridge area while the tourist area was also carrying out construction and repair activities on the walking path leading through the spiritual areas, swimming pools, and games.
Construction materials such as bricks, steel, sand... are scattered along the paths. The concrete road connecting the areas is already steep, and with the added sand, it becomes slippery.
Ms. Cam Van (Thanh Tri, Hanoi) reflected: "The entrance ticket is not cheap, 500 thousand VND for adults, there is a slight discount for children but they only experience the glass bridge, the games require extra money.
The construction looks so shabby, sand, bricks, water pipes are all over the place, there is a lack of construction protection measures, it is very dangerous. I think the tourist area needs to be invested in and managed more professionally," said Ms. Van.
Meanwhile, according to the reporter's observation, in areas with adventure games such as cycling, walking between two cliffs by cable car for 150,000 VND/person, visitors only pay directly without being issued tickets by staff.
According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung (Bac Giang), the game of cycling over a cliff with 2 participants costs 300,000 VND and an additional 50,000 VND for filming with a flycam. However, he only paid directly and did not receive a ticket.
"I think safety must be guaranteed, but customers also want to keep the ticket - maybe to pay the unit or resolve insurance issues if there is an incident. I asked if there was a ticket, but the staff said no need and only collected money," Mr. Dung shared.
An employee at the Dragon Cloud Glass Bridge tourist area said that daily revenue from adventure games is usually over 30 million VND. During holidays and weekends, it can reach hundreds of millions of VND.
On November 26, informing reporters, Ms. Nguyen Hong Anh - manager of the Dragon Cloud Glass Bridge tourist area - confirmed that the tourist area is currently constructing a water ditch, gathering and transporting construction materials.
Regarding the incident of employees not issuing tickets at some adventure games, Ms. Hong affirmed: "The company's regulations require tickets for all games and services. We will review and thoroughly inform our employees after receiving feedback."
