Accordingly, the method of considering high school graduation exam results and the admission method combining high school graduation exam scores with grade 12 transcripts (1 subject + 2 subjects of high school graduation exam) is 15 points, applicable to all majors.
For majors in the field of Health with practice certificates/licenses such as: Medicine, Traditional Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Testing Technology, Rehabilitation Technology and Medical Imaging Technology, the admission floor score will be applied according to the threshold for input quality guaranteed as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.
According to Mr. Ngo Tri Dung - Director of HIU Admissions and Communications Center, the above floor score is the minimum score for candidates to register for admission to HIU.
This score is calculated based on the total score of the combination of 3 subjects corresponding to the training major (admission code) that the candidate registered for, including priority points by area and subject according to current regulations.
If based on the academic results, candidates must have an average score of 18 points for 3 subjects in grade 12 (total combination of 3 subjects in grade 12) or an average of 6 points or more for the entire 12th grade year. With the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment test or V-SAT, the school receives applications from 15 points (exchanged to a 30-point scale).
For majors in the Health sector alone, the starting score for considering academic records according to the combination of 3 subjects for the Medicine, Dentistry and Maxillofacial is 24 points (requiring good academic performance); Traditional Medicine, Pharmacy from 22.5 points (requiring good academic performance); and the remaining majors from 19.5 points (requiring good academic performance) include: Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Testing, Rehabilitation techniques, Medical Imaging Technology; from 18 points (not requiring academic performance) for 2 majors: Nutrition, Public Health.
