On the afternoon of July 17, the Admissions Council of Van Hien University announced the regular university admission scores for the first round of 2025 according to three methods: high school graduation exam results, high school transcripts and the competency assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University.
Accordingly, with the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores, most of VHU's majors have an admission floor score of 15 points. Some majors with higher requirements such as International Relations and Vietnam study requires from 16 points.
In particular, talented majors such as Film - Television Director, Film - Television Technology, Music and Piano are considered for admission according to the combination of cultural subjects and talent competitions organized by the school, with separate floor scores for each competition.
In 2025, Van Hien University will also expand admission on many subject combinations, including traditional combinations (A00, D01...) and new combinations (X01, X54, X74 ...), creating maximum conditions for candidates to choose suitable for their learning strengths.
With the admission method based on high school transcripts, candidates can choose one of five forms of considering the average score of three subjects in semesters 10, 11 and 12. Regardless of the form chosen, the quality assurance threshold is from 18 points or more after adding priority points if any.
For the Nursing major, according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates must achieve a good academic performance in grade 12 or an average score of 6.5 or higher in high school cultural subjects or an admission subject combination of 19.5 points.
The Vocal and Piano industry requires a Literature score of 5.0 or higher and is mandatory to take a separate exam organized by the school. Special admission combinations such as M20, M21 (Directing major) or V00, H01 (Cinema - Television Technology major) require an average score of 10 points for the two subjects, along with a talent test.
In the admission method using the competency assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University, VHU takes the standard score from 600 points for all majors, except Nursing, Music and Piano.
