Luc Hon Primary and Secondary School is located in the mountainous, border commune of Luc Hon, where ethnic minorities account for 98.72% of the population.
In addition to the headquarters in Ban Pat village, the school has 4 satellite school sites including Na Luong, Cao Thang, Ngan Meo Duoi and Ngan Chuong.
In the 2026-2027 school year, the school is expected to have 382 secondary school students and more than 400 primary school students; about 100% of students register for lunch semi-boarding meals.
Implementing the policy of providing free textbooks to students according to Resolution No. 93/2025/NQ-HĐND of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council, the school has organized to wrap, label, and stamp the library to manage and transfer the sets of books to the classrooms for students.
Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Hang - Vice Principal of Luc Hon Primary and Secondary School - said that before the new school year, the school has coordinated to organize health check-ups for 100% of students; and at the same time reviewed, repaired, and supplemented tables, chairs, lighting equipment and teaching aids.
For the 4 satellite school sites, in this school year, all 12 classrooms have been invested in projectors, televisions, and smart boards like the classrooms at the main school.

In Binh Lieu commune, the project to build Binh Lieu Primary and Secondary Boarding School, invested with 39.5 billion VND from the provincial budget, on an area of 9.7ha, is being urgently completed with main items. In which, the 2-story subject classroom and library; the 3-story renovated boarding house has reached 98% of the workload.
In the 2026-2027 school year, the school plans to organize 26 classes with 654 students.
This is the first school year the school has implemented policies according to Decree No. 188/2026/ND-CP of the Government for boarding general education students and boarding general education students in land border communes.
Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Ninh - Principal of the school - said that before welcoming students, all officials and teachers were general cleaning, arranging classrooms, transferring supplies and equipment to new classes. The school also reviewed rooms, beds, bathrooms, toilets, electricity and water systems; inspected the kitchen.
According to Decree No. 188/2026/ND-CP, each boarding student at noon is supported with 450,000 VND for food and 8 kg of rice per month; boarding students are supported with 1.17 million VND for food and 15 kg of rice per month. The maximum support period is 9 months in a school year.
Across the province, Quang Ninh currently has 11,765 classrooms, with a 100% solidification rate. In the new school year, 15 schools are being built, of which 8 schools are expected to be put into use right from the beginning of the school year; 64 schools are being renovated and repaired.
