On April 1, 2025, the Vietnam - China University (BUV) held an inauguration ceremony for phase 2 of the academy with a total estimated investment of 165 million USD, meeting the international learning needs of thousands of students.
Phase 2 of the BUV campus at Ecopark started construction in August 2022, with an investment capital of up to 33 million USD. After the first 2 phases, BUV has invested 85 million USD, with a total floor area of 16,300m2, including a Student Center, a food court and more than 100 classrooms and functional rooms.
BUV's campus can meet the needs of 5,500 Vietnamese and international students. Phase 3 is expected to be implemented in 2028, bringing BuV's total investment capital to 165 million USD.

According to a representative of BUV, the new classroom area meets the "three-legged" design: Optimizing teaching functions, modernizing technology and sustainable development. The buildings are integrated with a series of modern functional rooms, applying cutting-edge technology and designed based on the learning and creative needs of students. Digital technologies and the Internet of Things (IoT) are also being deployed.
In terms of sustainability index, the new campus has achieved impressive figures in energy saving (43%), water saving (40%) and carbon emission reduction (61%) compared to a regular university complex according to EDGE's assessment.
Within the framework of the event, Professor Wendy Thomson - President of London University - officially announced the decision to elevate the cooperative relationship between BUV and University of London from the group of more than 100 " Recognized Teaching Centers" to the group of a few "international Partners" globally of University of London.
Mr. Ian Frew - UK Ambassador to Vietnam - said: "This expansion not only improves the quality of training but also strengthens the deep and increasingly developing relationship between the UK and Vietnam in the field of education. And it is also wonderful to see the University of London continue to commit to recognizing BUV as one of the few international partners globally. This is not only a recognition of BUV's quality, but also strengthens the school's pioneering position in providing the world's leading quality education in Vietnam".
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Education and Training, also praised the activities of BUV.

This event is even more meaningful in the context that the Government has been determined to promote the process of international education, attracting foreign investment and international cooperation in the field of education, and at the same time encouraging universities to invest in both international standard facilities and lecturers, expanding international training programs right in Vietnam to meet the needs of high-quality human resource training for the countrys era of rising up, said Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung.
