Recruiting teachers in Ho Chi Minh City, adjusting the number of recruits at many schools

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) has just announced the adjustment and supplementation of teacher recruitment needs for the 2025-2026 school year.

According to the Department of Education and Training, based on the actual needs at public non-business units directly under the Department and public non-business units under the People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones in the city, the Department has summarized and adjusted some arising recruitment targets.

Units adjusting to reduce or remove recruitment needs include: Hoa Mai 2 Kindergarten (Thuan An ward) reduced 1 kindergarten teacher quota; Hoa Mai Kindergarten (Chanh Hung ward) removed 1 kindergarten teacher quota; Phan Tay Ho Secondary School (An Hoi Dong ward) reduced 1 History and Geography teacher quota; Nguyen Thanh Tuyen Elementary School (Tan Son Hoa ward) removed 1 Music teacher quota and 1 English teacher quota.

In the opposite direction, some schools have additional recruitment needs, including: Chi Lang Secondary School (Khanh Hoi ward) adding 1 quota of History and Geography teachers; Le Anh Xuan Secondary School (Phu Tho Hoa ward) adding 3 quotas, including 1 Physical Education teacher, 1 Informatics teacher and 1 History and Geography teacher.

In addition to the content of target adjustment, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that during the registration system opening period, it discovered a number of cases of taking advantage of technical errors to intervene and adjust the aspirations of other candidates.

The Department requests all candidates to check their aspiration information to ensure that they have registered accurately, avoid being adjusted, and the system updates the function of sending an authentication code to the email address of the candidate who registered previously to verify the change of aspiration.

The Department of Education and Training notes that candidates must self-check and be responsible for their aspirations. All complaints related to changes in aspirations after the application deadline will not be considered or resolved. Recruitment results will be considered for recognition based on valid registered aspirations on the system. In case of not completing within the prescribed time, the admission results will not be recognized.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training announced the recruitment demand for additional teachers for the 2025-2026 school year with more than 1,400 people.

In which, public non-business units directly under the Department of Education and Training need to recruit 236 more teachers for 88 units.

And in schools directly under wards, communes, and special zones, it is necessary to recruit 1,182 teachers for 500 schools. In which, preschool level needs to recruit an additional 67 teachers. Primary level, recruit 145 primary school teachers teaching multiple subjects; 81 primary school team general in charge teachers; 68 music teachers; 29 physical education teachers; 33 English teachers; 48 computer science and technology teachers.

For secondary school level, 143 History - Geography teachers are recruited; 117 Fine Arts teachers; 102 Music teachers; 101 Literature teachers; 58 Math teachers; 46 Civic Education teachers; 41 English teachers; 35 Natural Science teachers; 24 Physical Education teachers.
