This is a turning point in 16 inter-level boarding school projects implemented in border communes of the province according to the Politburo's policy, celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2.
The ceremony was held in person and connected online with 80 locations across the country.

Attending the project launching ceremony were Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Tan Dung; Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Phan Huy Ngoc; Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuyen Quang province Ma The Hong, and a large number of local people.
The Thanh Thuy Inter-level Boarding and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities project has a total investment of more than 211 billion VND. The project is built on an area of about 3 hectares in Na Thai village, Thanh Thuy commune. Including 31 classrooms, 15 department rooms, 1 library room; 25 public rooms, 198 boarding rooms and many auxiliary works.
The project is expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2025 and be completed and put into use in 2026.

According to a report by the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang, in Thanh Thuy commune and surrounding areas, there are over 2,500 primary and secondary school students every year. Of which, nearly 50% of students are enjoying the policy and are boarding at schools. However, the current facilities are lacking and cramped.
Investing in building Thanh Thuy Inter-level Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities is an important solution to improve the quality of education and reduce the rate of dropouts.
When completed, the school will accept boarding children of ethnic groups in the area. Increase access to education for students in the border communes of Lao Chai, Thanh Thuy and part of Phong Quang commune (old).
