Pursuant to Decree No. 73/2024/ND-CP, from July 1, 2024, the new basic salary is 2.34 million VND/month, applied to calculate salaries in payrolls, allowances, and implement other regimes.
However, according to the feedback of many teachers in Vinh City, up to now, more than 4 months since July 1, 2024, teachers are still receiving the basic salary of 1.8 million VND/month.
“According to calculations, my new salary will increase by about 3 million VND/month compared to my current salary. However, I still receive the old basic salary. When my colleagues and I asked, the principal and accountant said the source had not been provided yet,” shared a junior high school teacher in Vinh City.
In addition, some teachers also reported that they have not yet received bonuses for the emulation title in the 2023-2024 school year.
Reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper forwarded the above question to the leader of Vinh City People's Committee and received the following answer:
“Up to now, the new salary and bonus sources have been reviewed and compiled by the City People's Committee. However, in order to implement Circular 76 dated December 29, 2023 of the Ministry of Finance, the City People's Committee must submit to the City People's Council for approval a Resolution on additional budget allocation, expected at the City People's Council meeting to take place at the end of November 2024. The City People's Committee has also allowed schools to use the regular expenditure sources that have been allocated budget estimates for advance payment. For schools with difficulties, they must wait for the City People's Council to approve it.”
