In many schools, in addition to teaching, there are teachers who hold many other positions and titles. In that case, teachers are entitled to benefits according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Ms. Dinh Thi Hong Phuong (Dong Nai) is currently a teacher, concurrently holding the position of Deputy Head of Professional Group and Member of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union.
Ms. Hong Phuong asked: According to current regulations, how many teaching periods per week will I be reduced?
The Ministry of Education and Training responded to this issue as follows:
According to Clause 5, Article 9 of Circular No. 28/2009/TT-BGDDT, each teacher cannot hold more than 2 positions concurrently and is entitled to a reduction in teaching hours for the position with the highest reduction in teaching hours. Accordingly, this regulation only applies to Article 9, which stipulates the reduction in teaching hours for teachers concurrently holding Party, mass organization and other organization jobs.
However, Ms. Dinh Thi Hong Phuong's assignment as Deputy Head of the Professional Team is concurrently holding professional work (according to the provisions of Article 8 of Circular No. 28/2009/TT-BGDDT). Therefore, in the case where she is both Deputy Head of the Professional Team and a member of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union, the regulations on reducing the teaching hour quota for concurrently holding professional work and reducing the teaching hour quota for concurrently holding work for the Party, unions and other organizations are implemented.
