In the last days of June 2026, at the construction site of the Tuyen Quang border boarding school project, thousands of workers and machinery are rushing to construct to meet the progress.
6 inter-level boarding primary and secondary school projects in Tuyen Quang are being implemented in border communes Thanh Thuy, Minh Tan, Pho Bang, Son Vi, Xin Man and Pa Vay Su.
PV recorded at the construction site of Minh Tan Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School, nearly 500 officials and workers are working continuously according to the motto of 3 shifts, 4 crews. Up to now, all 12 newly built building blocks and 3 renovated building blocks have completed the rough construction. Construction units are implementing items such as plastering walls, tiling, and auxiliary infrastructure.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien - Project Commander (Tu Lap Construction Co., Ltd.) informed: "By the beginning of June, the project had reached more than 60% of the plan. The unit has always mobilized from 400 to 600 officials and workers at the construction site, working continuously, divided into many shifts, many construction teams including holidays.
A bustling construction atmosphere also appeared at the construction site of the Thanh Thuy Inter-level Boarding Primary and Secondary School project. Currently, all 10/10 building blocks have been deployed simultaneously, reaching more than 70% of the volume, and 400 workers are working regularly at the construction site.
Similarly, in Pho Bang, Son Vi, Xin Man and Pa Vay Su communes, thousands of officials and workers are mobilized on construction sites. Projects to date have achieved from more than 40% to 60% of the workload.
With the goal of completion before August 2026, all projects are forced to accelerate progress and construction time is rushed. In addition to difficulties in time pressure, the demand for skilled labor in border areas is also becoming a challenge. To ensure progress, contractors are forced to mobilize labor from many localities. Labor costs in border communes at times reach 650 to 750 thousand VND/day of work.
The terrain of the dangerous highlands also has a significant impact on the progress of the projects. The construction process also generates geological factors beyond expectations. Report of the Project Management Board for Construction Investment of Tuyen Quang province, at some projects such as Son Vi, Xin Man, the ground leveling process has caused landslides and the appearance of groundwater veins, posing a potential risk of affecting the foundation and the construction slope system.
According to Mr. Luong Van Doan - Director of the Project Management Board for Construction Investment of Tuyen Quang province, the investor always proactively removes arising problems at the site, regularly checks the contractor's capacity and organizes construction supervision. In particular, contractors are required to carry out construction in accordance with design and technical standards. The quality of materials and equipment put into the project must be ensured. Acceptance, payment, and management of contracts are ensured according to regulations.
Contractors increase large-capacity machinery, supplement manpower for items with large volumes. Construction progress is built in detail weekly, item by item. At the same time, organize overtime, increase construction teams to compensate for volume and shorten implementation time.
In addition to 6 projects being promoted for construction progress, Tuyen Quang is also carrying out investment procedures for 11 inter-level boarding schools, phase 2 in the communes: Ban May, Thang Tin, Lao Chai, Tung Vai, Nghia Thuan, Can Ty, Bach Dich, Thang Mo, Sa Phin, Lung Cu and Dong Van. Currently, 10/11 projects have submitted feasibility study reports for appraisal, of which the Dong Van School project has been approved by the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province.
