The whole people join hands to build schools and classrooms
More than half a century ago, in many Ha Tinh villages, schools were built from bamboo, rosewood, and sugarcane paintings contributed by the people themselves. No written mobilization, no mandatory quotas. People contributed because they believed that giving literacy to children was for a long way. In the memories of many generations, the image of bamboo bundles being carried to schoolyards, village meetings discussing "building classrooms for children" have become a beautiful symbol of the spirit of the community for learning.

In the stream of education socialization in Ha Tinh, the story of the first high-rise school building built in Cam Nhuong is a special milestone. In the early 1980s, when the state budget was still very limited, people's lives mainly relied on the risky sea profession, building a two-story school building with 12 classrooms was far beyond the financial capacity of a coastal commune.
But by doing it creatively and transparently, the local government has revived the people's strength. Stone is transported from the island back on ships going to sea. Brick is fired on the spot. Coal is asked to be returned, using a part to fire bricks, the rest is sold to get money to pay for workers' labor. Each family contributes cement, each cooperative member contributes fish and salt to "bury" for a few days to earn income for schools. The corrugated iron sheets asked for are not quickly roofed but sold to raise funds to support the project.
The high-rise school building in Cam Nhuong is therefore not only an educational project, but also a symbol of true socialization: voluntary, transparent and aimed at the long-term interests of the community.
From "have schools" to "standard schools

After re-establishing the province, socialization of education in Ha Tinh entered a new stage of development, shifting from the goal of "having schools" to standardization, improving comprehensive quality through the movement to build national standard schools.
In the context of increasing learning needs, increasingly strict requirements for facilities, equipment, and staff, Ha Tinh has mobilized the combined strength of the entire political system and society. Tens of thousands of square meters of land were donated, hundreds of thousands of working days were contributed, and trillions of VND were mobilized to build schools, purchase equipment, and improve teaching and learning conditions.
By December 2025, the whole province had 565 schools meeting national standards, accounting for more than 88%; many localities reached 100% of standard schools at all levels of education. These figures reflect not only investment efforts, but also show the effectiveness of socialization based on consensus and community responsibility.
In Ha Tinh, a national standard school is not simply an administrative title. In many localities, receiving the Certificate of Standard School recognition is considered an important cultural and educational event. Schools have become the pride of villages and communes, the crystallization of the Party's will, the people's hearts and the perseverance of many generations.
The reality of socializing school construction in Ha Tinh suggests valuable lessons for education management in the new era of development. The core lesson is: socialization is first and foremost the socialization of trust. Without trust, it is impossible to arouse the people's strength. That trust is built by the exemplary behavior of the head, by transparent mechanisms, by dialogue and persuasive explanations to the people.
Socialization policies in the coming period need to be designed in the direction of supplementing and supporting public education, not shifting burdens to parents. Reducing administrative orders, increasing dialogue; reducing formality, increasing efficiency; considering each school project as a common asset of the community - these are key requirements for socialization to become an endogenous driving force, not external pressure.
From the bamboo trees that built schools in the past to the rows of national standard schools today, Ha Tinh has proven a sustainable truth: when people's hearts are in harmony, education will have a solid foundation to go far.
