Camera at Con Cung private preschool (Que My commune, Que Son district, Quang Nam) recorded the nanny beating and stuffing a 20-month-old baby in the mouth at noon. The incident caused public outrage.
Parents said that the facility did not allow the child to monitor the camera for nearly a month, even though the child showed signs of panic, startledness, screams and strange bruises. This teacher admitted her actions and apologized, but the family did not accept it.
The People's Committee of Que My commune has directed the commune police to verify and investigate the incident.
On April 12, the Department of Mothers and Children (Ministry of Health) sent a document to the Department of Health of Quang Nam province requesting verification and handling of the case of child violence.
