On January 8, information from Can Giuoc district, Long An province said that they have verified and invited people involved in the clip of a female student being beaten and stripped by a group of female friends that occurred in the district.
Previously, a clip was circulated on Facebook about a female student being surrounded by 4 female friends, repeatedly hit on the head with a helmet, kicked in the face, stripped naked, and dragged by the hair into a deserted residential area.
Can Giuoc District Police quickly took action, determining that the incident occurred at Saigon River Park residential area, Can Giuoc town on January 4.
The person beaten in the clip is a 7th grade student at a middle school in Can Duoc district, Long An province.

Among those who participated in beating the 7th grade female student was an 8th grade student at a middle school in Can Giuoc district and the rest had dropped out of school.
According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Long An province, the Department has requested the education departments of Can Giuoc and Can Duoc districts to verify the incident.
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Can Duoc district informed that, through investigating the cause of the incident, the 7th grade female student had a conflict on social networks with some friends in Can Giuoc district.
On the afternoon of January 4, a friend in Can Giuoc district called a 7th grade female student to a coffee shop to reconcile. However, when the 7th grade female student arrived at the meeting place to meet the group of friends, she was surrounded, beaten, and stripped.
After the incident, the 7th grade female student was taken to Can Giuoc District General Hospital for monitoring and care. Later, due to the 7th grade female student's health condition showing signs of vomiting, the hospital recommended that her relatives transfer her to a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for diagnosis.
Currently, the Department of Education and Training of Long An province has directed the Department of Education and Training of Can Giuoc district and the secondary school to continuously monitor the health status of the female student to have specific daily reports; monitor the group of people who beat people to remind, educate and handle them according to regulations.
