Although more than 2,500 reserve bus trips have been prepared to serve the peak Tet Nguyen Dan, due to the fact that people's travel demand has not increased sharply, bus stations in Hanoi have only used more than 200 increased bus trips.
Records at bus stations in Hanoi from February 13 (December 26 Tet) to today February 14 (December 27 Tet) show that the passenger transport situation is basically stable, no overload occurred. Passengers mainly concentrated on some long-distance routes, while many other routes are quite deserted.
At Nuoc Ngam Bus Station, although it is a station with many long-distance bus routes, from the afternoon of February 13 to now, only about 10 backup buses have been used. Some routes to Nghe An and Ha Tinh have times when passengers have to queue for buses longer than usual due to increased passenger volume, but order at the station is still guaranteed.
According to statistics, on peak day February 13, Nuoc Ngam Bus Station had about 600 departures, nearly double compared to normal days. Mr. Trinh Hoai Lam - Deputy Director of Nuoc Ngam Bus Station said that from the 27th to the 30th of Tet, the station always arranges sufficient vehicles, ensuring that all passengers arriving at the station have cars to return home for Tet safely.

At Giap Bat Bus Station, on February 13, about 800 buses departed, serving more than 10,000 passengers; the station had to use over 100 additional buses. According to Mr. Tran Manh Ha - Deputy Director of Giap Bat Bus Station, this Tet holiday, the number of passengers did not increase as much as expected, but the station still proactively plans to ensure passengers travel with peace of mind.

According to statistics from Hanoi Bus Station Joint Stock Company, at three major bus stations including My Dinh Bus Station, Giap Bat Bus Station and Gia Lam Bus Station, from February 13 to now, only more than 200 increased bus trips have been used.
This reality shows that the demand for passenger car travel at bus stations in Hanoi during Tet this year has not increased sharply, while transport units have prepared plans to increase with a number of vehicles more than 12 times the actual demand, ready to serve people when the number of passengers increases.
