According to the reporter's records at the foot of Hung Loi bridge, in Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city, workers are currently focusing on urgently upgrading the residential road along both sides of the bridge.

Previously, since Hung Loi Bridge was completed and put into operation in 2010, the residential road along both sides of the bridge has remained unfinished, without concrete or asphalt pavement. Over the past 15 years, this situation has caused many difficulties and become a nightmare for local people.
People living along both sides of the bridge said that this road is seriously degraded, full of potholes. On sunny days, the road is dusty, so anyone passing by has to wear a mask or cover their face with a hand. On rainy days, the road is densely packed with deep holes, mud, and thunder on the clothes of passersby.

There are even frequent accidents here, especially with students or people with weak steering. During the months of high tides, garbage from the river flows up, polluting the entire road, affecting the travel, daily life and business of people in the area.

According to information from the People's Committee of Ninh Kieu District, the district is currently implementing a project to renovate and upgrade residential roads along both sides of Hung Loi Bridge (in Hung Loi Ward). The project started on February 10, with the District Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Area as the investor, and Phuc Hau Construction Joint Stock Company as the construction unit.
Up to now, after about two months of implementation, the project has completed the D800 drainage system, an important item of the project. Currently, the construction unit is focusing on the construction of the road surface and other auxiliary items.
With a high sense of responsibility and close coordination between units, Ninh Kieu District strives to complete the project before April 30, in time to serve the travel needs of the people during the country's major holidays.

After 15 years of waiting, the people here are witnessing positive changes when the residential road along both sides of the bridge is being urgently upgraded.
Ms. Ngo Thu (30 years old, Hung Loi ward, Ninh Kieu district) excitedly shared: "This is something that I and many people have been waiting for for for a long time. We are monitoring the project's progress every day and hope that the project will be completed on schedule, ending the difficulties that people have faced for a long time."
The completion of the Hung Loi bridge residential road soon not only completely solves traffic difficulties for people on both sides of the bridge but also contributes to urban beautification, creating a spacious appearance for the central district, improving the quality of life for the city's people.
