Each group of workers is installing the bridge deck, other groups are completing the railings, inside the tunnel, workers are also urgently stretching cables, everyone is urgently completing the project on the 30th of April.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Dat Phuong Group Joint Stock Company - said that the unit is in charge of the span in the middle of the bridge. Up to now, all the main tasks have been basically completed, only the railings, cleaning and concrete pavement of the bridge surface are left.
"Seeing the bridge connecting Cu Lao Dung district between the Hau River and the mainland of Soc Trang province, everyone was happy and soon let people easily travel," said Mr. Hieu.
Mr. Phung Vu Phuong - a construction worker at Dai Ngai 2 bridge project - said that these days, the weather is hot but the brothers are still sticking to the project. Everyone tries their best to keep up with the traffic, right on April 30th to open the technical traffic.
"Working on this bridge, we witnessed people crossing both sides of the river having to take a ferry, taking a long time to wait. Therefore, we are aware of our responsibility, so we should try and complete it soon so that people can travel more easily," said Mr. Phuong.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Long - Executive Director and Commander of the Dai Ngai 2 bridge project - said that from the first days of construction, the unit has focused all resources, equipment, vehicles, machinery and finance; arranged to work in 3 shifts, 4 teams, working through holidays, holidays and difficult weather days. The progress was 6 months ahead of schedule and the bridge was completed on April 30 in accordance with the commitment to Soc Trang province.
According to Project Management Board 85 - Investor of Dai Ngai Bridge project, the construction progress of Dai Ngai 2 bridge has reached over 90% (17/17 bridge piers, completed 3/3 corridor spans, completed 13/13 Super-T girder spans) is under construction of the bridge railing and the final span bridge deck. As for the route, the accrete construction has reached 92%, the sand filling construction has reached 79%, and the crushed stone construction has reached 30%.
Mr. Tran Van Nguyen - Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu Lao Dung district - shared: The completion of Dai Ngai 2 bridge not only solves the traffic problem but is also an important driving force to promote the development of the local agricultural economy, especially in attracting businesses to invest in high-tech agriculture and tourism, which will be the driving force to promote the comprehensive development of the district.
The Dai Ngai bridge project has a total length of more than 15 km, with a total cost of nearly VND 8,000 billion. The starting point intersects with National Highway 54, in Hung Hoa commune (Tieu Can district, Tra Vinh province). The end point intersects with Nam Song Hau National Highway, in Long Duc Commune (Long Phu District, Soc Trang Province). The project includes 2 main bridge works, Dai Ngai 1 and Dai Ngai 2 bridges.
Dai Ngai 2 bridge crosses the Hau river adjacent to Tran De estuary, connecting Cu Lao Dung district with the National Highway Nam Song Hau. After completion, it will replace ferry travel, helping to shorten travel time and enhance the ability to transport goods between provinces.
