Nhon Trach Bridge is located in component project 1A (Tan Van - Nhon Trach section) of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 invested by My Thuan Project Management Board. With a total length of 8.22km, the project passes through Dong Nai province (6.3km) and Ho Chi Minh City (1.92km), with a total investment of more than VND 6,955 billion. Nhon Trach Bridge alone is worth about VND1,800 billion.
Currently, the accumulated output of the whole project has reached 96%. In particular, the CW1 package (construction of Nhon Trach Bridge) reaches 99%, CW2 package (building the road leading to the two bridges) reaches 92%. Currently, items such as asphalt carpets, bridges, and basic lighting systems have been completed. The roads on both sides of the bridge are under construction, ensuring smooth connection from the beginning of Dong Nai side to Thu Duc City (Ho Chi Minh City).
A representative of the My Thuan Project Management Board said: "Although we are reaching the finish line ahead of schedule, we are absolutely not subjective. Contractors are required to focus maximum human resources and equipment to complete the final items. From the bridge surface to the lighting system, signs, railings, barriers... all must be carefully inspected before being put into operation".
As noted at the construction site, the construction nose is operating continuously day and night to complete the remaining volume. The contractor said that most of the current work is construction of asphalt and roadside carpets, and the completion of the auxiliary works, ensuring the goal of completion of the entire before June 15, ready to put into operation at the end of June.
Nhon Trach Bridge is expected to shorten the distance from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai, Long Thanh International Airport and the Southeast provinces. When put into use, the route will connect directly to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, contributing to reducing pressure on existing traffic routes, especially in the inner city of Ho Chi Minh City.
The project also has strategic significance in developing regional connectivity, supporting the circulation of goods and promoting socio-economic development between Ho Chi Minh City and the Eastern and Southwestern provinces.
