In just a few days, two key items of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project - Nhon Trach bridge and the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway - will officially open to technical traffic on April 27.
This is a special milestone, not only marking the schedule exceeding the plan, but also showing the "acceleration" efforts of the construction units in order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

According to the representative of My Thuan Project Management Board (Ministry of Transport) - the investor of the component project in component 1A, Nhon Trach Bridge has now completed 99% of the construction volume. The contractor is plastic carpet in the main bridge and completes the final items, striving to ensure the progress of technical traffic on April 27, towards the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

Nhon Trach Bridge is the largest bridge in the entire Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, with a total length of 2.6 km, a scale of 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for mixed vehicles, with a total investment of about VND1,800 billion. In particular, the CW1 package - the main bridge construction, undertaken by Kumho E&C Company (Korea) - has exceeded the schedule by 4 months, becoming the fastest construction section in the entire route.
In addition, CW2 package - the link at the two ends of the bridge - is also being accomplished by the joint venture of Dongbu - VNCN E&C, currently reaching nearly 90 % of the volume. The investor has requested the contractor to prepare a backup plan, especially in the highway area, in order to synchronize the progress.

Notably, branches A and E of the XL1 package at the intersection between Ring Road 3 and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway will also be technically opened to traffic at the same time on April 27. These are branches directly connecting to Nhon Trach Bridge, playing a key role in ensuring smooth traffic flow from Dong Nai to Thu Duc City.

According to the representative of the Management Board of the Investment Project Construction of Ho Chi Minh City Transport works (Transportation) - the unit in charge of the intersection, up to now, the full volume of XL1 Bidding Package has reached about 50% of the entire expected to be completed on June 30. Many constructions are operating continuously to complete the items of roads, beams and bridge surfaces in the peak days at the end of April.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project plays a special role in connecting inter-regional areas and reducing the load on existing thorough traffic routes. Component section 1A alone is 8.22 km long, passing through Dong Nai province (6.3 km) and Ho Chi Minh City (1.92 km), with a total investment of nearly 7,000 billion VND.
When completed, Nhon Trach Bridge and Ring Road 3 will create a strategic traffic corridor, helping vehicles move from Ho Chi Minh City to Long Thanh Airport conveniently, reducing pressure on the current expressway. At the same time, this is also a route that opens up new development momentum for satellite cities in the East of the city.
