Accordingly, Phu Tho voters reflected that the river section from Ha Hoa bridge to Ngoc Thap bridge is over 50 km long, mainly located in Cam Khe and Thanh Ba districts with Tinh Cuong ferry and many ferry piers to connect trade between people in Cam Khe district, Yen Lap district with Thanh Ba district and Phu Tho town.
The travel demand of people on both sides of the Red River is very high (especially when Cam Khe Industrial Park and Phu Ha Industrial Park - Phu Tho town come into operation).
"However, traveling by ferry and ferry is often very difficult and poses a potential risk to waterway traffic safety, especially during the rainy season," voters said.
Voters recommend that the Ministry of Transport invest in building a bridge across the Red River connecting Cam Khe and Thanh Ba districts to create favorable conditions for people to travel, trade, and develop the economy and society.
Responding to this issue, the Ministry of Transport agreed with the voters' proposal to invest in a bridge across the Red River to replace the current Tinh Cuong ferry terminal to meet transportation needs, connecting traffic conveniently and safely between Thanh Ba district and Cam Khe district, serving the local socio-economic development.
However, because Tinh Cuong Bridge is under the management and investment authority of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee, it is recommended that Phu Tho Province study and balance capital sources, invest in the project soon and notify voters about the scale and investment roadmap; The Ministry of Transport will closely coordinate in the process of implementing the project investment.
