On the evening of July 24, representatives of the Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security said that in 3 days of implementing the order of the Director of the Traffic Police Department on reviewing and handling transport business vehicles showing signs of drivers driving vehicles beyond the prescribed time, the Department of Management, Exploitation, Processing, Data Operation and Digital Transformation, Traffic Police Department reviewed 516 vehicles, detected 45 cases with signs of violations, and at the same time transferred information to units and localities for inspection and handling according to regulations.
Accordingly, through data exploitation from the journey monitoring system, the Department of Management, Exploitation, Processing, Data Operation and Digital Transformation has identified 45 cases with signs of drivers operating transport business vehicles beyond the prescribed time.
For the Expressway Traffic Police Teams under the Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Guidance Department, the Traffic Police Department, the unit has transferred 19 cases for inspection and verification.
As a result, functional forces have made records of handling many cases of drivers operating transport business vehicles for more than the prescribed time; and at the same time fined vehicle owners who are businesses for the act of handing over vehicles to employees to commit violations.
The inspection process also discovered some other violations such as vehicles equipped with journey monitoring devices but not operating, and drivers not using driver identification cards.
Some cases cannot stop vehicles for inspection due to weather conditions or vehicles not circulating on the route at the time of inspection.
In localities, the traffic police force also urgently organized verification and handling according to information provided by the Department of Management, Exploitation, Processing, Data Operation and Digital Transformation.
In Ho Chi Minh City, 3 violations were recorded and handled; Lam Dong and Hanoi each handled 1 case; Dong Nai identified 1 case without violation because the driver had time to stop to load goods; Gia Lai and Dak Lak inspected white license plate vehicles, and at the same time propagated and reminded vehicle owners and drivers to strictly comply with regulations on vehicle control time.
In the coming time, the Department of Management, Exploitation, Processing, Data Operation and Digital Transformation, Traffic Police Department will continue to strengthen the exploitation of data from the journey monitoring system, promptly detect cases with signs of violations, transfer information to the Road and Railway Traffic Patrol and Control Guidance Department, Traffic Police Department and local police for inspection and strict handling according to regulations, contributing to improving the efficiency of management of transport business activities and ensuring traffic order and safety.
